Writing a love note is an amazing way to show your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, or partner that you care for them, and that you’ve been thinking of them. If you can’t find the exact note that you are looking for, have a look through the Love Quotes or Short Love Poems sections too.

If you are writing a love note of your own, here are a few suggestions:

1. Keep it short. A love note is just that: A note. If you make a love note too long it becomes more of a love letter, which is completely fine of course, but it might be a bit too long to fit on a post-it!

2. Use loving words. If you are stuck for ideas, there is a list of romantic love words here. These are words that can and depth and warmth to your love note, making it more personal and intimate than the traditional “Hey babe. I love you.” (not that there is anything wrong with a classic either!)

3. Write from the heart. It doesn’t work if you write something that you really don’t mean. If someone has changed your life in a special way, then tell them. But don’t write something that doesn’t feel natural. Truth and honestly will always shine the brightest when it comes to love.
