Pisces Love and Relationships
Ruling planet: Neptune
Element: Water
Symbol: The Fish
Pisces are the most emotional and sensitive of all the signs of the zodiac. They are very romantic, deep, and intense. Without a partner to focus these energies on, the Pisces can be somewhat erratic.
A Piscean will often have a turbulent love life. They are inclined to see people through rose colored glasses. They become blinded by the dream of what this new person “could” be, rather than what they are. When their love-relationship is going well, then they are on top of the world, aware of nothing but the pure bliss of the moment. If their relationship breaks up however, it often takes a Piscean a long time to pick up the pieces of their heart. Pisceans feel all emotions on an extreme scale; a kind gesture can thrill them beyond belief, while the slightest insensitivity can cause great upset.
A Pisces individual should usually be more careful than they are when entering a romance. They will often put so much of their energy and affection into a new love, and if it doesn’t work out they will become distraught. Patience is the key: if they go into a new relationship slowly, there is just as much chance of happiness, but much less chance of heartbreak. After a while, if everything is still going well, then they may have found the lasting and loving relationship that they crave. But they must be sure to let their partner prove himself or herself first, rather than taking their feelings for granted.
An ideal Pisces relationship will be filled with romantic moments. They want flowers, handholding, and walks along the beach. They want to hear the words “I love you” often, and they want to be able to say them often too. They are very sentimental, caring, and trusting, and they are at their best when they are with a partner who appreciates these things.
Because of the sensitive and emotional nature of a Pisces, they are usually best with other Water element signs. These are other Pisces, Cancers, and Scorpios.
Virgo can also be a good match for a Pisces, as they each have the qualities that the other desires in a partner, while their strengths complement each other’s weaknesses.
